Some Community Pharmacies offer home delivery of your medication. This is not an NHS service, is subject to delivery radius and delivery charges may apply.

If you are on regular, long-term medication, your Doctor may agree to set you up with a repeat prescription.  This means that you can re-order your regular medication when you are running low on supplies, without needing to see a Doctor every time.  Requests for unscheduled or one-off medication will still need to be referred to a Doctor.

Repeat prescriptions may be requested:

  • Online (please ask at Reception for a registration form)
  • By telephone – our Repeat Prescription Answerphone number is 01437 720644
  • Via reception – by ‘posting’ the prescription counterfoil in the collection box in the surgery.
  • By post – please tick your counterfoil for the items you require.

We require at least 48 hours to process orders for repeat prescriptions, and you should re-order medication at least 7-10 days before you run out.

We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. Repeat prescriptions are normally authorised for between three and six months – the re-order slip shows a review date, and you may be asked to arrange an appointment with your doctor before further supplies are authorised.
